Family

Today was all about family and a great day it was! My sister Rachel drove down from eastern Washington for the weekend to see everyone. We had a pedicure and then the family all came over to our house for a big dinner. It was full of lots of laughter; kids running around and playing; and most importantly, a whole lot of love.

Sunshine!

Today we finally had some sunshine and Sofia got to play on her "playground" in our backyard. This was one of the many reasons we bought this house and seeing her get to play on it just made my whole body smile. The grass was still quite soggy from all the rain we've had and she was covered in mud when she was done, but that smile on her face was worth all that laundry and the bath that followed!

Pics of the girls today. Sofia is obsessed with taking real and fake photos. Maybe we have a future photographer on our hands!

Thankfulness

Today is the first day of Lent. As a child, and even several years into adulthood, I gave something up like candy or some other sweet. This year is a bit different. My mom, sister and I are all reading a book together called The 8 Habits of Love. It looks to help us all focus on God's love within us all to help us be happier people free from worries, anger or sadness. As I started reading it today, it made me think that it was perfect timing with MS Awareness week that started this week as well. While my disease is frustrating at times, it has made me be thankful for every day and all the little things in it. Well, almost everything. I could live without the two year old tantrums 😄. Sofia has begun to say grace before every meal, which is her way of saying thanks. This Lent season, I look forward to continuing to appreciate all life had to offer and abiding by one of my favorite Bible verses: Be still and know that I am God.

Well, we have once again failed miserably in updating the blog and what a difference a year makes! In the past year, we moved into our dream house, Sofia started preschool and most importantly we completed our family with the addition of Miss Charlotte Elizabeth in December.  Here are a few photos of us throughout the year to catch you up on where we are now!
