This is the Berglund Family blog! While we try and update this as regularly as we can, we have two little kids, so we do the best we can! Enjoy our adventures along with us! Love, Brooke, Eric, Sofia & Charlotte

Vitamix!
The day has come where we have added a Vitamix to our house! I've burned through several blender motors since we've been married, so I finally convinced Eric to take the plunge. Our morning green smoothies have never tasted so good! Sofia even had kale in hers because she couldn't taste it, which was pretty amazing.

Girl Day!
Today was girl day as Sofia doesn't currently have school on Fridays. We had a great morning of running errands. Sofia loves to go grocery shopping, so we generally do it on Fridays. Next week she is on spring break, so I'm sure there will be many more fun girl days!

A visit to Silverton
Charlotte and I took a trip to Silverton today to have lunch with Grandma Satern. The sun was shining and it was a beautiful day for a drive down and back. We stopped by Grandpa Miller's grave so he could meet Charlotte :). Next trip down it will be Grandpa Satern's turn! It was a great day!

Sisterly love
We've been working on getting Charlotte to love tummy time which is not an easy job! Sofia thought she would help Charlotte love her play mat a bit more :)

Our mini peanut
Charlotte is officially our mini peanut! At her two month check-up, we discovered that she wasn't gaining enough weight. Her pediatrician thought it was possibly due to some acid reflux issues, so we put her on medication. That definitely helped with the spitting up so we were hopeful that it would do the trick. We had our check in yesterday and unfortunately she still hasn't gained enough weight. She is 9.2 lbs which is less than what I weighed at birth! Anyway, we will be visiting a lactation specialist to see if we can determine what the problem is. Hopefully it is an easy fix!

Daddy Day
Today was a Daddy Day as Sofia spent most of the day glued to Eric's side. She is a daddy's girl through and through!

Friday Fun Day
Right now Sofia doesn't have school on Fridays. This will change when Charlotte goes into daycare and then both girls will go full time. Fridays are especially special when one of the grandpas stops by to visit. Papa stopped by today to read books and hang out with his two ladies!

Spring is here!
The weather seems to have changed and we had some beautiful sunshine! Today Charlotte and I met a friend of mine for coffee, which was a great way to start off the day. Charlotte ended her day with some daddy snuggles :)

Family
Today was all about family and a great day it was! My sister Rachel drove down from eastern Washington for the weekend to see everyone. We had a pedicure and then the family all came over to our house for a big dinner. It was full of lots of laughter; kids running around and playing; and most importantly, a whole lot of love.

Sunshine!
Today we finally had some sunshine and Sofia got to play on her "playground" in our backyard. This was one of the many reasons we bought this house and seeing her get to play on it just made my whole body smile. The grass was still quite soggy from all the rain we've had and she was covered in mud when she was done, but that smile on her face was worth all that laundry and the bath that followed!

Thankfulness
Today is the first day of Lent. As a child, and even several years into adulthood, I gave something up like candy or some other sweet. This year is a bit different. My mom, sister and I are all reading a book together called The 8 Habits of Love. It looks to help us all focus on God's love within us all to help us be happier people free from worries, anger or sadness. As I started reading it today, it made me think that it was perfect timing with MS Awareness week that started this week as well. While my disease is frustrating at times, it has made me be thankful for every day and all the little things in it. Well, almost everything. I could live without the two year old tantrums 😄. Sofia has begun to say grace before every meal, which is her way of saying thanks. This Lent season, I look forward to continuing to appreciate all life had to offer and abiding by one of my favorite Bible verses: Be still and know that I am God.
